Kraven is unique in that our mission is defined by one word; positivity. A strong community starts with strong individuals, and we all can benefit from these voices, which remind us that we have the power to shape the life, mind, and body that we dream of.

Kraven Magazine is the voice that dares you to become the best you can be. It provides bold, engaging content that challenges, nurtures, and entertains various categories.

In the summer of 2011, Fernando Velez was just 24 years old when he launched his first project, Kraven Magazine. For five years, together with his LGBTQ+ team and more than ten queer writers, most exclusive, he created a tool to empower the LGBTQ community. Years later, the magazine led to the creation of Kraven Comics. He closed the magazine seven years ago to focus on the comic book that demanded so much of him.

Now that Kraven Comics is running smoothly, it's time for Kraven Magazine to come back. One of the reasons that inspired him to bring it back was his own experience reaching out to LGBTQ magazines. He contacted many asking for their support by letting the community know that there is now LGBTQ representation in the comic book industry, which comes from our community, not some big corporation as a marketing strategy. Sadly only a handful answered, asking from $700 to $5,000 for a featured article, but when Marvel and other big companies announce their "gay" characters, they write articles for free..

This left me thinking. Many incredibly talented and intelligent individuals have been left out because they don't have capital and can't afford to pay for gay magazines articles or ads, shutting down sometimes their only way to reach our community.

I believe my Kraven team and I can make a Magazine that can be functional, practical, and entertaining. At the same time, someone in our community will benefit from every article. We will look for new LGBTQ businesses to feature for free and offer free ads. I want to do this because I struggled with Kraven Comics, and two local magazines, Peach Atlanta and South Florida Gay News featured us. When we needed it the most, thanks to their articles, we were able to launch a successful Kickstarter campaign and print the first copies of Kraven Comics. I know firsthand the impact we can have on many businesses or artists. So I want to make sure Kraven Magazine gives everyone a chance to make it, to thrive. With your support, we can expand to become the number one magazine in the US to focus on supporting and empowering our community.

As we prepare our first issue, we want to start looking for individuals like personal trainers, bartenders, chefs, life coaches, designers, indie comic creators, singers, producers, small businesses, and anyone who can benefit from a free article or ad. You have to be part of the LGBTQ community.

We have more ambitious plans and visions for how we can be an essential part of our community's success. As we grow financially, I want to open an LGBTQ investment funds company to invest in our LGBTQ small business with resources and capital. I believe only together can we thrive.

We can't measure success by how much one makes but by how many people's lives can impact.

The magazine will be free on our website, KindleUnlimited, and $10 an issue for the print edition. None of the articles will feature any event to avoid adding an expiration date to our publication and instead be enjoyed anytime, even months after being published.

Join us and support our magazine. The first magazine is scheduled to be released for pride month. We will use the platform Kickstarter for the print edition pre-sales to determine the number of print editions we need to run and offer $1 shipping.
